Giving Analytics and Muslim Charity Win Prestigious CIOF “Most Powerful Insight Using AI/ML” Award

We are delighted to announce that Giving Analytics, in partnership with Muslim Charity, has been awarded the "Most Powerful Insight Using AI/ML" award at the Chartered Institute of Fundraising's Insight in Fundraising Conference, held in London on 14 October 2024.

Award-Winning Personalisation at Scale

The award celebrates our groundbreaking collaboration during Ramadan 2024, where we deployed AI-powered hyper-personalisation to transform Muslim Charity's email fundraising campaign. The implementation generated a remarkable 4.1x increase in donations per email open compared to traditional approaches, with zero messages flagged as spam.

Competing against major organisations including UK for UNHCR, The Leprosy Mission Great Britain and The Scout Association, our solution demonstrated how sophisticated AI applications can be successfully implemented even by smaller charities with limited resources and legacy systems.

About the Project

The award-winning implementation allowed Muslim Charity to overcome significant challenges including:

  • Limited data analysis resources (a team of just 20 employees with no dedicated data personnel)
  • Legacy CRM systems with minimal segmentation capabilities
  • The need to stand out during Ramadan, when over 30% of annual income is generated and competition is at its peak

Our solution integrated seamlessly with existing systems via simple CSV exports, enabling true 1:1 personalisation that reflected each donor's unique relationship with the charity—from their giving history and geographic location to their project preferences and religious giving patterns.
